UFO Tuesday

UFO Tuesday

This is where I started with the Rainbow Changes Shetland Stole two weeks ago

Stole progress from before UFO Tuesday was implemented.

And here’s where I’m leaving it today

Not a great deal of progress but still ...
Not a great deal of progress but still …

in favour of this

birch stole wip1

The Birch entrelac stole. There wasn’t a Ravelry project page for this and the only reference I can find to it on my blog is this “Wall of Shame” post from February last year. Oh, well!

Still plodding along on the Duotone Cowl… It seems like I switched from the first half pattern to the second half pattern too soon. I’ve still got quite a lot of yarn left and I’ve nearly matched the length of the first half. I’ll see how long the cowl is at the point where the halves match. If it’s the right length, I’ll finish it. If not, I’ll carry on with the second half patterning until I’ve nearly run out of yarn, then switch to the first half pattern again.
Confused? You should be!

My UFO for this week (the Shetland Stole) takes a fair amount of concentration, so I’ve only been working on it for anĀ  hour or so a day.

The good thing about a colour change yarn is you really can see any progress that’s been made!
I’m going to keep going on this for at least another week, since I’ve now got back into the rhythm of the pattern.

And I have a new project

A cricket jumper tea cosy! It’s a p/hop pattern so I’ll be making a donation to MSF (DWB for those of you in the USA) based on the hours of pleasure (hop) I gain from the object.

EDIT: found the link for the teapot jumper!

UFO Tuesday

Hurray! Actual, visible, progress on the Torirot/Secret Garden mittens.

Not a great deal, I’ll grant you, but moving forward!

These will go back in the box (it’s a literal box) to be worked on another week.

This coming week’s UFO project will be :drumroll:

The Rainbow Changes Shetland Stole. I know! I’d forgotten about it as well!

Now, as this is knitted lace (as opposed to lace knitting) it has yarn overs and decreases on both sides of the fabric. Yet another non-TV/high-concentration project.
