Leading off with the most progress in the past 7 days is the Honeybee Cardigan:
As of 8th April 2015. Pocket opening.
And a better look at the 3 lace panels in the centre back:
It helps now I’ve memorised the lace pattern!
The Birch Stole plods on (although it’s now getting tricky to photograph it all):
Progress on the Birch Stole is steady.
Look at the size of the remaining yarn to get an idea of how much I’ve done
since last week.
And I managed 4 rows on the Advent Calendar Stole last night (there’s an awful 3-into-9 increase that slowed me right down):
Row counter provides “proof” of the 4 rows I’ve completed!
Short but sweet today.
I’m about to rip the heel out on the second Jules sock for the third time (I didn’t take notes when I did the first heel – bad knitter), so no photo-progress of that.
The Birch stole has had another tier added:
This is what it looks like when it’s not all pinned out.
But the most progress has come on the Honeybee Cardigan:
Total progress (oof, those sleeves need blocking)
Here’s the maths planning I did to get the lace panels in the right places:
I may have used a calculator (just to double-check my figures, obviously. I still have my pride!)
Well, that wasn’t very short, was it? Moving on ….
First, a quick refresh of the memory.
Here’s where I started with the Birch stole two weeks ago:
And here’s where I’m up to now:
Birch entrelac stole, almost at the half way point.
I’m going to go ahead and add this to my WIP pile since I have now memorised the lace pattern (and almost memorised the side triangles).
So, I now have a vacancy in the “UFO slot”. Please welcome the
Iznik I Heart You shawl:
Iznik, I Heart You shawl status as of 31st March 2015. Terrible photo.
Terrible photo, but you get the idea! It’s lace knitting with beads so it is
not TV-knitting. This is “Sitting bolt upright in a chair with good lighting and maybe a podcast on but absolutely no TV” knitting. Hence the UFO status!
We shall see whether the next 7 days can add to my progress on this potentially-lovely piece of knitting…
Well, now I have the lace pattern memorised (the side triangles trip me up sometimes) I’m fair motoring along.
At the start of this UFO week the Birch entrelac stole looked like this:
Seven days ago …
And it now looks like this:
Progress as of Monday night.
I’m going to keep going on this for another week, see if I can make it to the half way point (finishing the first ball of yarn).
This is where I started with the Rainbow Changes Shetland Stole two weeks ago
Stole progress from before UFO Tuesday was implemented.
And here’s where I’m leaving it today
Not a great deal of progress but still …
in favour of this
Birch entrelac stole. There wasn’t a Ravelry project page for this and the only reference I can find to it on my blog is this “Wall of Shame” post from February last year. Oh, well!
