Available from the 11th of November 2013 in issue 28 of Knit Now is my latest pattern, Aki Scarf. The scarf is worked in a new-to-me Noro yarn called Obi (my sample uses colour 8).
The pattern is/will be available in selected retail outlets in the UK, a subscription or an individual physical magazine can be purchased online, it is on the Apple App Store, or in a digital magazine format via the MoreMags.com website.
The Noro is chunky-weight and the simple lace-and-texture bias pattern makes this go quickly, but not monotonously! The bias pattern also shows off the classic Noro colour changes.
Work more repeats in the increase section for a wider stole or add more in the straight portion for a longer scarf (remember that both of these will require more yarn).
To show it working in a different yarn, I made this for myself from King Cole Galaxy DK, a long colour change yarn with bonus sequins!
This version is not in the magazine, but the joy of the scarf is in the fact you just work more repeats of the increase pattern to make the same sized scarf in the lighter-weight yarn.
ADDED 18th Nov 2013:
Well, these things happen and an error has been discovered in the pattern. I apologise for this.
Row 2 of the straight section should read;
I’ve just had a look at the magazine and there are errors on row 2 of the straight and decrease sections. I’m very sorry that this occurred.
