And a scant six months later, I have a shawl!
I. love. it.
Seriously.
It’s the largest piece of lace I’ve ever knit and I’m so happy with the way it turned out.
I’ve been experimenting with how I’m going to wear this and I can see me actually using the shawl a lot.
Pattern: Mandala a.k.a. The Goddess Knits Anniversary Shawl by Renee Leverington [My Ravelry project page]
Yarn: Unknown base lace weight yarn (possibly Knit Picks Bare Lace) hand dyed by Vormer, approx. 170 g used in total (very roughly 1400 yds/1280 m used).
Try to ignore the goofy face! – Larger photo
Needles: 3.25 mm double pointed needles for Clues 1-3 and 4 mm circular needle for Clue 4 and 5 (not done on purpose, I’m just an idiot!)
Size: 53 inches/135 cm in diameter when blocked (for scale, I’m 5’6″ tall)
Knitting style: English for the shawl, Combination for the edging.
Modifications/notes: Knit the pattern exactly as prescribed!
For reference, I chose the following charts for each section/clue;
Clue 1: Chart D
Clue 2: Chart A
Clue 3: Chart C
Clue 4: Chart B
Clue 5: no choice (one chart for edging)
That’s just gorgeous!!

I got stalled on clue 1!! just didn’t look like the photos. I need to get my bottom in gear and start over. No way my shawl could ever look as good as yours, but I can get it finished. You did a great job and I love the way your choices flow together. Good work!!
