This is not my dad (obviously.  Maybe not obviously, I don’t know.  But in any case, my dad is much less plastic and only slightly more talkative!  Love you dad!)

Pattern: (name, author, source) Reverser by Woolly Wormhead from “Going Straight” [My Ravelry Project Page]

Size(s): (to fit, finished size) To fit my dad’s 22/23″ head

reverser3Yarn: (name, fibre, weight, colour) King Cole Fashion Aran (acrylic/wool) aran-weight yarn in Granary (#89)

Needles: (size, material, style) 5 mm aluminium circular (used for flat knitting)

Knitting style: (for stitch patterns) Combination

Modifications: None.

Notes: Really great pattern from Ruth (as usual) and I had no problems with it.  It’s a fantastic men’s/unisex pattern and I would have knit this in a day if I hadn’t got the deadly lurgy on Friday and thought I was going to collapse/die and spent most of the day lying down in a darkened room (literally).  I didn’t die, and I managed to finish the hat!

This is the same yarn I knit my dad’s Gansey in and my Strawberry Joe hat (also from the Going Straight book).  It’s a fairly work-horse yarn and I expect it to stand up quite well to my dad’s head! :D
